Working with our young married clients on their lovingly restored Craftsman home was an absolute pleasure. Our clients love collecting items from their travels, and wanted to incorporate them in a seamlessly modern way. This was a special project for us, as it aligns with our philosophy that our homes should be a reflection of who we are.
Our approach was to pair these bespoke collectibles with modern furnishings, fabrics, and fixtures to create a harmonized design that truly reflected the clients' nostalgic and well-traveled style (and enhanced the home's natural character and charm). We reused preexisting pieces, reupholstered chairs, and repurposed light fixtures to design creatively and sustainably, allowing treasures like photos taken by the client's father and framed coins to shine in a natural and integrated way. The final result was a cohesive and personalized space where every item and selection tells a unique story.
